We're coming off of a great long weekend. It's been raining for about 24 straight hours now and I love every minute of it! Perfect excuse to lay low in the house, get some much needed chores done and just be lazy.
Saturday was game day, the day that most of us college football fans have been waiting for all summer long! We headed down to the Georgia Dome to watch the UGA vs Boise St game. We were fortunate to score some great tix earlier in the week and had the opportunity to tailgate with some pretty incredible people that day. It was a smorgasbord of fun! There was BBQ and Beer Pong, Corn Hole and Corn on the Cob, Chocolate Milk and Apple Pie with our tailgaten' neighbors, minors crashing the tailgate and looking for " just one more game" and all the malarkey one could expect from a bunch of kids at heart. Although the game didn't end in the most favorable way, it was still an awesome time and worth all the hurt the next day. Can't wait until next time :)
The rest of the rainy weekend was spent having fun with the little ladies. We picked them up from Nana on Sunday and decided to make a Cold Stone Creamery stop along the way. "Banilla" with M&M's for them and Birthday Cake Remix for me. Craig had Moe's next door.Which he kindly ate in front of us-the smell of Mexican and ice cream- not a good combo. We then decided to hit up red box and have our monthly family movie night. During our family movie nights we pop lots of popcorn, make a big ol' pallet in the floor with all the blankets and pillows in the house, get snuggled up in our pj's and watch a movie of the girls choosing. I have to say that these nights are some of my favorite nights. Rio was feature film and actually pretty cute, I'll give it 3 1/2 out of 5 stars.
Today was spent sleeping in, doing chores and spending some time with my family and two adorable little
"kitters" My brother has two7wk old kittens and we are jonesing for my Mom to get one. After all of us spending some QT w/ the cuties today, I'm thinking its a go. I'll update once the verdict is in! Here's a pic of their sweetness-see if you can spot the kitties smothered in the P's love.
I hate to see the weekend end, but on the flip side, its a 4 day work week and that makes it a little easier. Off to bed I go so Im well rested for the rat race tomorrow. Good night!
Sweet girlies with the sweet kitty cats! Sounds like a good weekend! With some incredible peeps for sure!
