Thank goodness for Thursdays! It's been a long week. Work's been busy, school's been busy, life's been, just busy-thus resulting in my blog neglect. I'm looking forward to the weekend and no schedule to adhere to, other than making sure Craig is in front of the tv by 730 Sunday night for the Falcons game.
I am excited to announce that I'll be running my first 5k on October 8th- The Make a Wish 5k of Cobb County! The race proceeds go to the local Cobb County chapter of the Make a Wish foundation and will make many dreams come true for terminally ill children. I'm nervous, excited, and anxious about it all at the same time. With a little tough love and tugging at the heart strings I was able to convince a couple lovely ladies to run with me, which eases the nerves a bit! I know that whether or not we get out run by the babies or baby boomers, finish dead last or not at all, we'll have a great time doing it and probably laugh all the way through it. Never a dull moment w/ these two! So Thank You, Jennie and Stacy, for allowing me to manipulate you to participate in one of my crazy ideas.
In other exciting news, my bestie Keri and her husband, Scott had their baby on Monday! This is the 3rd bambino for the Edwards clan, making them the new party of 5. They kept the baby's gender a surprise- a long, grueling, 9 ( technically 10 ) months. Being so far away makes it hard, especially times like these when I want to be there so badly! I couldn't possibly be more happy for these two and the wonderfully beautiful family they've created! So without further adieu, please meet their brand new baby girl, Stella Blake Edwards.
Speaking of baby girls, the P's have been running at full throttle all week. With cooler temps and cloudy skies, they've been hard at play in the yard. Playin' so hard there's been rings around the tub every night. You'd think that all the play would have the worn down and ready for bed at night, but that's not the case. These two have fought bedtime all week! Not to mention, at least one of them has been waking me up during the night, every night this week. I'm exhausted and hoping I can get a full nights rest tonight.
